Yesterday Cassandra Cales, Stacy Peterson’s younger sister, told the Chicago Tribune that last summer while she was visiting the Petersons, Drew asked Stacy to go to the garage to get a soda for him while he went upstairs to the bedroom just over the garage. A gun was fired from the bedroom, the bullet passing through the bedroom floor and hitting the garage floor near the refrigerator.
Drew responded to the Tribune story today by saying Stacy had been in the bedroom with him and had discharged the gun accidentally, then told her sister Drew had accidentally fired it because she was embarrassed. Cales calls this and “idiotic explanation” — but is it any more unlikely than Drew attempting to kill Stacy by shooting a bullet blindly through the bedroom floor?
And I say this as somebody who, to be honest, has already pretty much pre-judged Drew’s guilt in Stacy’s disappearance.
Also yesterday, Drew’s lawyer Joel Brodsky told Dan Abrams of MSNBC that he’s “heard rumors” that Stacy had a relationship, or a crush on, Neil Schori, the pastor who is now telling the media that in August, Stacy told him that Drew had told her that he’d murdered third wife Kathleen Savio.
Today, Brodsky said that those “rumors” actually came from Drew Peterson himself, who elaborated in his own statement to the media: “Every time she’d go meet him, she’d get all dolled up; she dressed seductively.”
I’m surprised Drew hasn’t blamed Stacy for kiling his 3rd wife . . .
Kit, I fully expect Drew to suggest this if he’s ever charged with Savio’s murder. He’ll say he didn’t want to accuse Stacy until then because he didn’t want her to get into trouble and he expected her to return to him. And then he’ll remind us how Savio once punched Stacy (see this article). And he’ll suggest that Stacy told the pastor (with whom he believes she had an improper relationship) to back up her story that Drew had confessed to the murder because while Drew was a loving spouse and wanted to protect her, she was apparently willing to frame him for a murder.
Just wait…
Yep: it’s all her fault. Always the poor, poor guy getting cheated on and crapped on by all these horrible cheatin’ wimmen.
Every time she’d go meet him, she’d get all dolled up; she dressed seductively.
Because that’s not a honkin’ big warning sign.
Wait.
His lawyer released this statement?
Has his lawyer decided that they’re going to lose the trial, so he’s going to do as ham-handed a job as possible so that they can win on appeal, arguing that he had inadequate representation?
Why is a 23 year old girl married to a 53 year OLD man? Come on…something weird has been going on with this guy for a while.
Hi! I was surfing and found your blog post… nice! I love your blog.
